Executive Director's message - May 2020

On May 21, the Emery Village BIA held a tele-town hall to address COVID-19 issues the business community is facing.

Members of the community were invited to call a toll-free number and questions were addressed to a panel featuring Anthony Perruzza, City Councillor Ward 7 - Humber River-Black Creek, Tom Rakocevic, MPP Humber River-Black Creek and Judy Sgro, MP Humber River-Black Creek.

Thank you to everyone who attended and those who submitted questions in advance. A briefing will be available on our website. If you have any follow up questions, we ask you to send them to: info@emeryvillagebia.ca

Emery Village BIA and the Emery Village Voice are also launching the Shop Emery First: Business Boosters campaign to assist businesses during this pandemic. It is a minimum run of free advertising guaranteed for two months in the Emery Village Voice and on social media. If you have a special sale or offer or would like to promote your business in some way, please fill out the form at: www.emeryvillagebia.ca/business-booster

You will be asked to provide your business name, address, contact information, a brief explanation of your offer and how long it is valid.

Finally, a reminder that we have increased security patrols during this time and implemented an emergency plan. We have increased our operating patrols to include two day patrol cars (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and four evening patrol cars (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) to ensure full coverage of our area.

Please ensure that your alarm company has the most up to date contact information and telephone numbers in the event of an alarm call. The two numbers for VP Protection Dispatch are: 416-218-3226 or 647-202-3022.

Sincerely,

Executive Director,

Sandra Farina
