Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message - April 2026

Dear Emery Village Community,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful spring. It took a while for the season to fight back the

winter chill, but I am so glad it’s finally here, reminding us that the cold is officially behind us. It’s the perfect time to get outside, soak up some Vitamin D, and enjoy the vibrant colours returning to our community!

I also want to extend a warm, albeit belated, Happy Easter and Passover to everyone who celebrated last week. I hope your holidays were filled with warmth and family.

On the professional front, our BIA staff recently attended the annual Ontario BIA Association conference in St. Catharines. It was such an informative session, and we learned so much while exploring everything St. Catharines had to offer. Guided by the theme Main Streets in Bloom: BIAs Rooted in Purpose, the conference hosted over 300 delegates, offering us a great opportunity for meaningful learning and new connections that we can’t wait to apply back home.

Looking ahead to May, it’s never too early to start thinking about the incredible women in our lives. I want to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and matriarchs in our community. Be sure to keep a lookout for local deals in the area so you can treat your mom to something special and support our wonderful local businesses at the same time.

Before I conclude, I’m thrilled to announce that our community Movie Night will return this June! We are currently narrowing down the shortlist for our feature film, so stay tuned—the final title will be decided and announced very soon. If you have any recommendations or suggestions for the movie feel free to email us at info@emeryvillagebia.ca.

Thank you for making this community such a vibrant place to lead. Let’s enjoy the sunshine!

Warm regards,

Sandra Farina

Executive Director
