Louis got his start early. As a 17-year-old co-op student, he knew he was drawn to working with cars. By the age of 20, he had earned his mechanic’s license through a unique Ontario program that transitioned students directly from high school into college. “I’ve been doing this for over 20 years now,” Louis said. “And while it’s tough on the body, I love it. There’s a satisfaction in fixing something right and knowing your customer drives away safe.”
Krekor, who operates from Pro Auto Centre just steps away from Viking, brings extensive dealership experience to the partnership. His background in servicing a wide range of makes and models, particularly higher-end vehicles, complements Louis’s technical knowledge and community-first approach. “We both believe in being upfront with our customers,” said Krekor. “That’s what the shop was built on, and that’s how we operate today.”
The original Viking Tire was founded by a respected veteran who built a loyal client base through trust and transparency. Louis and Krekor have not only preserved that legacy—they’ve expanded it. Both locations are fully equipped to handle repairs on all years and models, including imports like BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz. “We don’t shy away from anything,” said Louis. “Whether it’s diagnostics, brake work, alignments or fleet servicing, we have the tools and knowledge to get the job done right.” The team’s approach emphasizes preventive maintenance, encouraging customers to address minor issues before they escalate into major problems. “Changing your fluids, inspecting your suspension—these things go a long way,” added Krekor.
