March break is just around the corner; do you know what you are doing with your kids? Here are some suggestions that may alleviate a little bit of stress by keeping them occupied around town and on a budget.

March Break is from March 13 to the 17, inclusively for most schools.

Visit Black Creek Pioneer Village this March Break and kids 14 years and younger get in free, from Monday, March 13 to Sunday, March 19 with an adult admission.

The hours of operation are:

Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Toronto Light Festival

Feb 22 to March 12.

The Toronto Light Festival, the City’s first-ever light art festival, is coming to the Distillery Historic District from Jan. 27 to March 12.

Visitors will be taken on a new visual journey and cerebral adventure, designed to entertain and inspire. The festival will transform the picturesque historic neighbourhood into one of the largest open-air galleries in North America, lighting up the long winter with distinctive works from local and international light artists.

The hours of oepration are:

Sunday to Wednesday, sundown to 10 p.m.

Thursday to Saturday, sundown to 11 p.m.

Admission: Free

Location: The Distillery Historic District

And finally, one of our March Break staples can be found at your local Toronto Public Library.

Check out your branch and you may find games like Bingo for kids, Art and Craft programs, Films for Kids, Magic and Puppet Shows, Lego and Reptilia. There is plenty to do around town.
