Councillor’s Corner - April 2024

Councillor’s Corner

Dear Resident,

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending the ground-breaking ceremony for the new Etobicoke Civic Centre (ECC), which will be located at 3755 Bloor Street West. It will be a modern, multi-functional building that fosters community engagement. The ECC will offer offices, a council chamber, childcare services, a library, healthcare, recreation, and retails spaces.

For more information, you can read more about it here: www.toronto.ca/services-payments/venues-facilities-bookings/booking-city-facilities/new-etobicoke-civic-centre-project/

In other news, I am also excited to share that Urban Forestry will be hosting a public planting event in Rowntree Mills Park (155 Rowntree Mill Rd) on Tuesday, May 28th from 10 AM to 12 PM! The site may be muddy, so come dressed for the conditions with closed-toe shoes. Planting will happen rain or shine, but not in thunder and lightning. Come prepared.
